The secret of a good interview is in the preparation, the technique and the editing. People have a short attention span so you've only got a couple of minutes - especially if your purpose is sales to new clients. Ultimately, you'll want it to look good and sustain the viewer's interest so even for the simplest testimonials we're creative with movement and editing. Using jibs and camera sliders give a subtle motion that keeps the attention locked onto the subject. Some clients are requesting that the subjects look directly into the camera to deliver their messages, either from memory or using autocue, like a one to one conversation. Whether we're adding graphic heavy packages using green screen or neutral backgrounds, inserting creative video, or just using a plain white backdrop with a shallow depth of field, our clients are opting to lose the office plants and shelves in favour of a cleaner look. You'll find more examples below.
