Velocity developed an app to solve the issue of the time it takes to pay a restaurant bill, now possible due to the worldwide growth in mobile payments, led by Millennials.
NextShoot devised a script structure, working with the client and their PR partner, which was split across interviews with representatives of Velocity, their partners and a brand ambassador, Louis Saha.
We filmed the interviews in Soho, London, and used the venue as a location for sequences with actors that could punctuate the interviews, developing and illustrating the narrative and demonstrating the app in use.
The Velocity app allows for bookings, secure payment at table, loyalty and rewards all in one place. It’s free to consumers, recommends venues, and gives users an option to split the bill with friends. Additionally the mobile payment system increases table turnover as less time is spent settling the bill.
The brief for this About Us video included that it had a premium look & feel - in line with the brand, their target market and their restaurant partners. The casting, styling, location, filming and storytelling all contributed to a video with high production values.
