About Us

FAI is a leading UK-based distributor of premium automotive components, with over forty years of experience in supplying parts to engine specialists across more than fifty countries. FAI evolved out of decades of involvement in competitive motorsport, during which it developed the high standards of technical, logistical and administrative efficiency that underpin its success as an aftermarket parts business today. 

NextShoot was invited to create a punchy About Us video to sit on the company website and to kick-off meetings and conference calls with potential new clients. We filmed with the family-run business at their 67,500 square foot warehouse to capture the scale of the FAI operation and their huge range of products, and conducted interviews with the senior staff at our studio in London against a clean backdrop. It’s a good example of the quality of positioning video produced by our video marketing agency in London.
The Brief
NextShoot’s video marketing agency in London was invited to make an About Us video for FAI Autoparts. The client was looking for a creative video content provider to help them shape a positioning video that would sit on the company website and that could be used to kick-off face-to-face meetings and online calls with potential clients. 

FAI were keen to feature their 67,500 square feet of warehousing in Leighton Buzzard, the range of their product line and to stress the heritage of the family-run business.

Our Approach
We decided that it would be best to split our filming day into two parts: interviews shot in our London studio and b-roll shot on location at FAI’s HQs. 

NextShoot carried out a pre-production recce to FAI’s HQs in Leighton Buzzard so that we could carefully plan the filming day, shot by shot. We were able to capture the scale of the FAI operation, their huge range of products and a sense of the camaraderie at the business. Much of the b-roll was shot on our Dana Dolly slider system, supported by gimbal shots and some time-lapse filmed on a DSLR mounted above the shop floor. 

We conducted interviews with the senior staff at our studio in London against a clean backdrop, focusing on pre-agreed points about the company’s technical excellence, the quality of their products, their value for money and their picking rate of over 98%​ per cent. 
The Results
Filming during COVID-19 restrictions was certainly a challenge, but we feel that the final results do justice to the heritage of the company, the culture of the family-run business, and the quality of their product line and services. 

We included high quality black & white stills that beautifully illustrated the company’s motor sport heritage and tied in the video’s textual and graphical elements with the business's print branding style. 

The video was well received and has become a really useful tool for the new business team in driving engagement with potential new clients.
