Case Study Videos


Video is an outstanding format for case studies, also known as client testimonial videos or customer success story videos. A client testimonial video may be a soft sell, but if made thoughtfully and crafted properly it can have a massive impact. The endorsement of a satisfied customer sends out a powerful message, while video engages with your audience and creates an emotional connection that ultimately inspires action.

NextShoot works with global brands to create single case study videos and multiple testimonial videos in structured campaigns, filming in the UK and abroad and always delivering the messages that attract new customers.
CBRE/ The Royal College of Pathologists

CBRE is the leading full-service real estate services and investment company in the world. NextShoot was commissioned by their Marketing Team in London to produce a number of case studies with key clients, including Virgin Media, Sanofi, and The Royal College of Pathologists (RCP).

The RCP case study video explored CBRE's role in the college's move into a new £44m home in Aldgate, London. The video featured interviewees from the RCP, CBRE and the lead architect from Bennetts Associates. To reflect the quality of the design and the careful selection of materials throughout the building we ensured that the b-roll material captured the excellence of the architecture and the chosen material palette. We set up interesting sequences, including in the conference facilities, and peopled the scenes to illustrate the effect of this magnificent new office on the staff.

The final interview selection and b-roll was supported by music and graphics in the in-house style. The completed long-form video was subtitled and then cutdown versions were created for use across CBRE's Social Media platforms.

Clayton/ Deliveroo Clayton/ Deliveroo

Deliveroo uses Salesforce to support its onboarding of up to 1,000 new restaurants every month across the world. Deliveroo also uses a Clayton product that builds on Salesforce, deploying AI to track down design flaws and vulnerabilities in the code, to improve and speed up this onboarding process.

Our goal was to create a case study video with a clear interview narrative that explained Clayton's contribution to Deliveroo's success, and to supplement this with engaging b-roll material.

We interviewed two staff members from Deliveroo. The shoot was scheduled for a weekend in order to have access to the open-plan office without noise interruptions. We also captured broll of the speakers working in different locations around the office, making sure to feature the highly recognisable Deliveroo branding.

The final customer success story video clearly lays out Clayton's solution and its impact on Deliveroo's restaurant onboarding process. There is a filmic look & feel to all of the interview and broll material that elevates the case study's production values and, in the mind of the viewer, creates an association with the excellence of Clayton's products and services.

Appian

From intelligent business process management systems to low-code development, Appian helps their clients to develop scalable low cost solutions which drive efficiency and business processes. NextShoot work Appian to produce customer case study videos introduing viewers to the technology and hearing first hand of the transformative effect it has had on Appian's clients' businesses.

We usually conduct three interviews. Typically a CEO or other senior representative of the organisation can outline what the business does, who their customers are a broad overview of their industry. The CTO or senior decision maker can discuss the decision making behind the purchase and deployment of Appian's technology. We also try speak to the end users to see how the customers' experience and their day to day work has been transformed.

While on location we we will allocate several hours to film as much high quality b-roll as possible to bring the story to life. We also setup demosntations of the Appian product in use, typically with over the shoulder shots and close ups of the screen.

During the edit, we introduce graphics in line with Appian's brand guidelines to drive home key messages, figures and return on investment.

A key part of Netsuite's marketing and communications is customer success stories, illustrating how users are benefiting from the different elements of their CRM and ERP software. When they were looking to film a series of these with customers based in the UK and The Netherlands they approached NextShoot.

It was important that the completed videos matched the standards and look and feel of other videos in the series completed by Netsuite's marketing department in the US. Pre-production involved researching not just Netsuite's product range but also the customers' businesses in order to streamline the interview process and determine the ideal outcomes from each shoot.

The central theme linking all the videos was disruptive technology - how the business and retail landscape is being changed by our ever evolving relationships with technology, our changing expectations and the ways in which businesses are addressing this. Shot over two days in London and two in Amsterdam, the videos are succinct, stylish and punchy. They capture the energy of these young start-ups, their new ways of working but also, crucially, how Netsuite has enabled them to do this. Our experience in filming overseas and our logistical expertise allowed Netsuite's travelling team to hit the ground running and leverage the most from their budget.
